Yoshimoto Mushi Gakko" is a gag manga in which popular comedians from Yoshimoto Kogyo are transformed into "insect" characters and set in a fictional school, where the comedians' individual personalities are brought to life by the insects, resulting in surprising and heartwarming developments. The manga is produced by Koji Higashino, a well-known comedian who has lovingly teased comedians in numerous TV programs, and a total of 132 Yoshimoto comedians will appear as original characters transformed for this work! The script and composition will be written by Ayumi Kuma, who is the leader of the comedy group The Plan 9 and is also an active writer, composing material and comedy scripts for various comedians. The manga is drawn by new manga artist Hiro Akino, a member of Cork Inc. Two original newly-drawn episodes are included in the book. In addition, an illustrated book of insects that shows the ecology of the main insect characters and a petit illustrated book that covers all the characters are also included, resulting in a large volume of 284 all-color pages.
